About Big Cheeks Jj
Some cats arrive at the shelter and we just can't help but ask... how on earth did nobody come looking for you?
That's exactly how we feel about Big Cheeks JJ.
This handsome boy is full of personality and charm. As his name suggests, JJ is sporting some very impressive cheeks, giving him that classic tomcat look that is impossible not to love. But it's not just his face that wins people over, JJ is a friendly, happy boy who genuinely enjoys attention and being around people.
He'll happily wander over for pats, soak up the affection, and remind you that he deserves to be admired. But JJ is also the kind of cat who knows his boundaries. He's not shy about letting you know when he's had enough attention for the moment, which honestly just makes him all the more endearing. He's confident, expressive, and very much his own cat.
One thing to know about JJ is that he is FIV positive. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) affects a cat's immune system, but many FIV cats live long, happy, completely normal lives with good care and an indoor lifestyle. Because FIV is mainly spread through deep bite wounds between cats, JJ will need to live as the only cat in the home, or with other FIV positive cats.
What he really wants is simple: a home where he can be himself ... a big, cheeky, affectionate boy who enjoys attention on his own terms.
We truly can't believe a cat like JJ was never picked up by an owner. He's friendly, full of character, and clearly ready to be someone's companion.
Now he's just waiting for the person who will finally see him and say,
"Yep ... those cheeks belong in my house".
