About Dusty - 7 Week Old Cattle Dog X Kelpie
🐾Meet Dusty, The gorgeous little go getter.🐾
Little Dusty is a real outgoing little pup. He loves to make his presence known! Keen to explore, play and be some lucky persons sidekick.
💙 Friendly & Fun:
Dusty is such an outgoing feel spirit. He is the quiet extrovert. Quietly doing his thing but at the same time like you to know he is there.
💡 Smart & Eager to Learn:
This clever Dusty boy is making great progress with his toilet training and picking up basic commands like sit, come when called - especially when a piece of apple or cheese is up for grabs! Being both Kelpie and Cattle Dog, he has the makings of a very intelligent pup!
⚽️Curious & Active:
If you know the breed, you'll know they need to be worked if not physically then mentally. So far Dusty loves exploring the garden and having space to run and play. He would make the perfect running buddy, beach date or just a perfect member to an active family!
🛌 Nap Buddy & Cuddle Bug:
Dusty loves being outdoors but when he shows signs of over stimulation he is keen for a cuddle and to be in his pen in a quiet space (sounds bliss right?) he sleeps well in his crate but will let you know when he is well rested and ready to go again.
✨ Bursting with Personality:
Dusty boy really does just want to be a real member of someone's family the most loyal boy. While Dusty does love to be in the yard exploring he also likes to stay close. He has the kelpie look but with a cattle body. Dusty is such a pleasure to have in our home.
If you know the breed you’ll also know what it means to have Dusty in your family. They are huge people pleasers and loyal through and through.
Dusty is a healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and medium) and gets along well with them all, although can seem a little nervous at first. He's met lots of people, including older children and is friendly and affectionate with them, Although a typical pup with puppy teeth and paws.
Dusty will grow up to be a medium sized dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly and patient adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Dusty. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there should be someone in the household that is home more often than not, especially in those early days. Someone familiar with the 3,3,3.
Dusty needs to be welcomed into the family as an essential member. What does this mean? It means he needs to be welcomed inside to be a part of the family and to sleep inside with his people. He will be a wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Dusty’s adoption fee is $800 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Dusty’s is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
