About Roo - 7 Week Old Cattle Dog X Kelpie
🐾Meet Roo, this loveable boys boy.🐾
This gorgeous boy loves to play and pretend he is one of the big boys, although when it comes down to it he is just a beautiful little puppy bundle. The shyer of the two I get to have the privilege to take care of. In true Cattle x kelpie style this boy is keen to please.
💙 Friendly & Fun:
Roo is such a funny little guy to watch! He comes across as a leader but when it comes down to it he is shy and unsure. He is slowly coming out of his little puppy shell! He seems extremely food driven and keen to spend his days by his humans side! He is curious with water & loves his toys.
💡 Smart & Eager to Learn:
This clever Roo boy is making great progress with his toilet training and picking up basic commands like sit, come when called - especially when a piece of apple or cheese is up for grabs! Being both Kelpie and Cattle Dog, he has the makings of a very intelligent pup!
⚽️Curious & Active:
If you know the breed, you'll know they need to be worked. So far Roo loves exploring the garden and having space to run. He would make the perfect running buddy, beach date or just a perfect member to an active family!
🛌 Nap Buddy & Cuddle Bug:
Roo Loves being outdoors but when he shows signs of over stimulation he is keen for a cuddle and to be in his pen in a quiet space (sounds bliss right?) he sleeps well in his crate but will let you know when he is well rested and ready to go again.
✨ Bursting with Personality:
Little Roo really does remind me of a boys boy (just one who really loves their mum). Loves to explore and comes across as leader of the pack until he is confronted with something a tad unknown.
Whoever gets this beautiful boy really will have a loyal BFF! if you know, you know! He will need ongoing training to give him the chance to be the best doggo yet. Loads of stimulation and activity.
Roo is a healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He has been well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and medium) and gets along well with them all, although can seem a little nervous at first. He's met lots of people, including older children and is friendly and affectionate with them, Although a typical pup with puppy teeth and paws.
Roo will grow up to be a medium sized dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly and patient adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Roo. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there should be someone in the household that is home more often then not especially in those early days. Someone familiar with the 333 would be amazing.
Roo needs to be welcomed inside when people are home and to be apart of the family, and to sleep inside. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Roo’s adoption fee is $800 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Roo’s is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
