Meet Albie – a handsome young Kelpie looking for the right home

Albie is a very handsome 1-year-old Kelpie who was found as a stray, so not much is known about his early months. Despite this, he has already shown great potential to become a wonderful companion with continued training and guidance.

Albie would do best with an experienced owner who understands working breeds and can provide the structure and stimulation he needs. Like many Kelpies, he thrives with the right balance of physical exercise and mental enrichment to keep him happy and settled.

He is now fully crate trained and sleeps comfortably in a large crate where he can stretch out. He’s content relaxing there for periods of time, especially when given a goat horn or similar long-lasting chew.

Albie’s socialisation with other dogs is improving, and he could happily live with a canine companion with slow, thoughtful introductions. He has not yet been tested with cats or other small animals.

He will need ongoing training with leash walking, but with consistent guidance he is showing promising progress.

Albie is a bright, active young dog who will flourish in a home committed to training, enrichment, and building a strong bond.
