About Chirp
Some cats arrive at The Lost Dogs' Home with a story that's all about survival. For Chirp, that story has always revolved around caring for others.
At just 18 months old, Chirp came into the shelter with her babies, focused on doing what good mums do best, keeping them safe and giving them the best start she could. Thanks to her dedication, her kittens are now off in foster care, growing up and getting ready to live their very best lives.
And now, for the first time in a long time ... it's Chirp's turn.
Her name comes from the adorable little chirping noises she makes, the sweet, gentle sounds she uses to communicate with the people around her. It's just one of the many things that makes her so endearing.
Chirp can take a little bit of time to adjust to new surroundings, which is completely understandable after everything she's been through. But once she feels safe, her sweet and affectionate nature begins to shine through. She enjoys gentle attention and the quiet company of people who are happy to let her settle in at her own pace.
For most of her young life, Chirp has been caught in the cycle of raising kittens. Now that that chapter has finally closed, she has the chance to discover what life is like when she gets to be the one who is cared for.
A calm home, a patient family, and a little time to find her feet will help Chirp grow into the wonderful companion we know she can be.
After giving so much of herself to raising her babies, Chirp is ready for something new - a peaceful life, a loving home, and a future that's finally all about her
