About Chewy
PLEASE READ THE FULL BIO PRIOR TO APPLYING - NOT JUST SEE THE BREED
Indoor/outdoor or both: both
Toilet trained? Still learning
Chewbacca (chewy for short) is the biggest of the litter. He has such dark colour in is fur which is where his name came from. He also would sound like Chewbacca when he growled……Very cute!
He just wants to play all day long with whoever, whenever. He likes his food, is still offered small meals 3 times a day. Little bit of Prime 100 roll and his puppy dry.
He absolutely loves water…….including the water bowl so you will have to invest in a slow flow water dispenser or be content wiping up water each time you walk past the water bowl!!! He will jump in front of the hose when watering, jump in the Kiddy pool. He has not been to the beach yet as only just today is fully vaccinated, but I am sure he will love it!
Loves to play fetch with toys or balls and most of the time will bring it back.
Loves hiding under furniture or blankets or under lounges for his naps.
He is big enough to jump up on the couch now so if you do not like this, you will need to train him not too. All my dogs sit with me on the couch so he is no different in my household….sorry…..
He does love rough play with his siblings and also with foster carers own dogs so would suit a home with another dog that’s playful but can also pull him into line if needed. Either that or a family that loves to be active and playful and would take him on lots of walks or throw lots of balls for him to burn some energy.
He found a bone recently and became a bit aggressive when others tried to take it from him. Foster carer had to take it and place into bin. He did try to get cranky at the foster carer but if quite firm with food aggression, and he got the point. Strong voice, clear command and place in time out. ( time out is on his bed and making him stay there for a bit) So he may need watching if you offer bones to the pet you have already.
Yet to be taken on walks due to only being fully vaxed as of today, 11/3/26, so I will update his profile once we have a go. I’m sure he will learn quickly from my Pixie, doggy leader of the pack.
So I guess if you are looking for a fluffy ball of puppy energy that loves food, loves water, loves to play and you have time to put him into some lead training and food training then Chewy is your man!

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
