Lima will benefit from plenty of indoor enrichment to keep her mind active and help prevent boredom. Providing vertical spaces such as cat trees, shelves, or window perches will allow her to explore her territory from above and feel more confident within the home.
Feeding from enrichment toys or puzzle feeders is recommended, along with structured play sessions twice a day. Interactive play helps satisfy a cat's natural hunt-catch-pounce instincts and can act as a form of play therapy, helping to reduce stress and anxiety that may contribute to Lima's sensitivity. Regular play will help her feel more relaxed, engaged, and fulfilled.
Lima would be best suited to a home with teens or older children who can read and understand basic cat body language. It's important that everyone in the household recognizes when she would like attention and when she needs a little space.
With the right balance of enrichment, routine, and understanding, Lima can feel secure and thrive in her new home. 🐾
