Tashi – Clever, Loyal, and Ready to Work Her Way Into Your Heart

Meet Tashi, a bright and affectionate working-breed mix with a sharp mind and a love for life. With natural herding instincts and a passion for learning, she’s the kind of dog who thrives with people who enjoy training, adventure, and having a loyal companion by their side.

Tashi is a compact, medium-sized with a sweet and affectionate nature. She absolutely loves human attention and will happily soak up all the pats and cuddles she can get. One of her favourite places to relax is right beside you on the couch, where she enjoys being part of the family and close to her people.

She is a very smart, energetic girl who is naturally drawn to movement and activity. Tashi is currently working with a trainer to help develop her working mind, learning to slow down and channel her instincts appropriately. She has a natural herding instinct and is very aware of movement around her.

Tashi is very social with dogs she knows and loves spending playtime running, chasing, and playing with her group. She has grown in confidence and now walks well past most dogs and adapts nicely to new environments. She is still working on becoming completely comfortable during initial meetings with large unfamiliar dogs or passing dogs that display high-energy reactions.

Highly food motivated, Tashi enjoys training and learning new things. This makes her very responsive, highly trainable, and fun to work with. With the right experienced handler, she has the drive and ability to excel in many dog sports, provided her handler can help her understand and navigate high-energy environments.

We are looking for a suburban home with space to move, or a property environment where she can stay mentally and physically engaged.

Tashi has experience living with a cat and enjoys the occasional playful rumble, showing she is comfortable sharing her space with feline companions.

She travels well in the car and settles nicely for trips, making her a great companion for outings and adventures. She especially loves bush hikes and exploring new trails with the pack. Tashi is doing well with toilet training and is crate trained, sleeping through the night and settling easily into her routine.

Overall, Tashi is a loving, people-focused dog who enjoys comfort, companionship, and being part of everyday life. Having the benefit of early work with a trainer has given her a fantastic foundation. We are now looking for a home that understands working dogs and has the lifestyle and experience to support her active mind. We are open to families with or without other dogs depending on the home, and older children would be suitable.
