About Bosie
Introducing Bosie, a small bundle of brindle joy who has the potential to make wonderful companion pet. This dog absolutely loves people and other dogs and is a happy and playful little chap whose tail is constantly wagging.
Bosie is a Jack Russell/Dachshund cross - with perhaps some other small breeds mixed in as well. He certainly has the agility and alertness of a JR and an absolute zest for life. Bosie is a small dog but he is not tiny; he weighs about 6 kilograms and is not expected to grow much more. He measures approximately 25 cm at shoulder height - although it wasn’t easy to measure him as he thinks every activity is play time! Boisie a striking-looking dog: he has a lovely shiny brindle coat, white tips on his paws and a white blaze on his chest. The symmetrical brindle markings on his face make for a very handsome dog indeed.
Since coming into care, Boisie has learnt to walk on a lead which he loves and will jump on a chair to get his harness on. He is in care with other dogs (male and female) and gets on well with all of them. He initiates play but he can get overexcited at times but the older female dogs soon calm him down.
Because he loves company, Bosie is best suited to a home situation where he has constant companionship. He will do particularly well with another playful dog which is similar in size and an owner who is home more often than not. Although he has progressed a great deal while in care, Bosie needs an adopter who is is willing to continue with his training - the result will be a wonderful family pet and companion as he loves his people and being close to them. Training will be easy as he is very food motivated and has excellent recall. Although Boisie loves going for walks, exploring the garden and playing outdoors with his foster siblings and doing zoomies, he is predominantly an indoor dog.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more about this special dog, his foster mum would love to have a chat with you. To ensure a reply to enquiries about adoption, please tell us a little about yourself and your location and what you can offer this little boy.
