About Paddy ( The Tall Terrier )
Paddy - The Original Tall Terrier
Male • 9 years 4 months
If you're a Hamish & Andy fan, you already know... must be nice to meet an icon.
Introducing Paddy - a certified Tall Terrier, long‑legged legend, and all‑round happy‑go-lucky gentleman.
Paddy is the type of dog who brings good boy energy everywhere he goes. He loves his walks (bonus points if they're "power walks" in true Tall Terrier spirit), and when the adventure is done, he's straight onto your lap like he owns a timeshare there. He's affectionate, cheerful, and always ready to star in his own Remembering Project.
Around other dogs, Paddy leans toward the "I'll lead, you follow" dynamic - dominant, but never aggressive. He's the Hamish in the situation: confident, charming, and occasionally convinced he's hosting the show. Because of this, Paddy would pair best with a calm, submissive dog who's happy to let him be the Tall Terrier of the house.
He'd thrive in a home with older kids or kids experienced with dogs, just to make sure everyone understands his style of Gusto.
If you've been waiting for your very own podcast‑worthy sidekick... well...
Must. Be. Very. Nice.
Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
