My Ideal Home: is a home with a friendly male dog or on my own where I get daily walks/ play time and get to chill out on the lounge of an afternoon.
• Familiarity and understanding of my breed traits would be highly valued.
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion, I already know how to sit but would love to learn more tricks.
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family..
• When I get excited, I jump on you with some force and I get nervous when being retrained and for this reason I cannot go to a home with children under 10 years old.
• As an active breed, I have lots of energy, so I'll need an active family who can keep up with me.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
• A home without small dogs would be best for me.
• I enjoy the company of friendly male dogs but am not a fan of females, if going to a home with another dog it will have to be a male who is just as playful as me.

• I have a high prey drive, so I'm not suited to homes with cats or small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, or ducks.

• I'm a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I'm excited.
• I'm highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I love toys - especially my ball! Fetch and tug-of-war are some of my favourite games.
• I'm exuberant and full of beans, always ready for fun and adventure.
• I'm clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who'll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.

Training:
• Once I’m settled, I can walk nicely, but I may pull if something grabs my attention or if I decide I’d like to head in a different direction. I can also be strong or a bit skittish if startled, so a harness or head halter would really help while I continue my training.
• I can be a little bouncy when excited, but consistent training will help me learn calmer behaviours.
• I am not a fan of being retrained so I will need a family that will work with me in situations where I need to be retrained (vets ect.)

Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Beauty if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
