About Jack
Meet Jack, an endearing Jack Russell and Maltese mix with a heart full to the brim with affection. Even at eight, Jack is youthful in spirit and is keen to share that warmth with a new loving family. De-sexed and vaccinated, he is ready for his next chapter due to unforeseen changes in his current owner's situation.
Jack is a super-friendly soul who adores cuddles and the simple pleasures of companionship. Jack is the perfect indoor buddy for relaxed afternoons and quiet evenings at home. Jack loves people, so much so that he does not want to share the love with any other pets! He is therefore best suited to be the only pet at home.
Housetrained and gentle, Jack is a delight to have around the home. He does experience some anxiety during storms or when left alone for extended periods, so a family who enjoys spending time at home or can offer him company throughout the day would make an ideal match. Jack will need a safe and secure garden/yard area to chill and enjoy the sunshine. Jack also enjoys a nice walk at least once a day, just so he knows what's happening in his neighbourhood! Please be aware though, he can be a little reactive to other dogs, so he does not need to say hello when passing by.
Jack is looking for a family that will welcome him as a cherished member. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddle-loving companion who will bring warmth and joy into your life, Jack is waiting to become your snuggle buddy and lifelong friend.
Medical notes
Jack gets anxious when there is a storm and a Calma tablet helps him through this. He is also on small dosage of Zactin (half tablet a day) to help him remain calm. Jack is a delightful pup and only lets his anxiety get the better of him when he is left alone for long periods of time. As his current owner has had to return to work full time, he is now alone for over 8 hours a day and is not coping, hence the difficult decision to re-home. Don't let this put you off meeting this gorgeous friendly pup!
