About Minnie
Meet Minnie, an adorable Japanese Chin with an affectionate personality just waiting to bloom. Despite being a bit timid and shy at first, Minnie quickly warms up once she feels comfortable and secure. Weighing in at just 3.5kg, she was born on February 5th, 2024, making her a young and lovable companion. With her silky coat and charming demeanor, Minnie is truly a sweet little girl who will capture your heart.
Minnie is looking for a calm and quiet home where she can truly shine. While she is a bit hesitant to walk on a lead, she loves the company of other small dogs, finding joy and comfort in their presence. Having a confident canine friend would be the perfect way to help her come out of her shell. She's not bothered by our resident cat in the shelter, so feline companions are also welcome.
She thrives best in a home with no children, but older, gentle kids over the age of 12 would bring out her playful side. A retired couple, looking for another small dog to complete their family, would find in Minnie a devoted and delightful addition who will bring warmth and joy to their lives. Minnie is eagerly awaiting a home where her gentle spirit and loving nature can truly shine.
Medical notes
Minnie had a umbilical hernia which was repaired
She has irritated skin on her back so regular flea treatment is a must.
She had a dental scale and clean with some teeth extracted.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
