My Ideal Home: A family who will give me daily exercise and enrichment and then snuggle on the couch with me of a night.

My Paw-some Perks: Goofy, playful and LOVES people

Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Ellie if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet.

General:
• Familiarity and understanding of my breed traits would be highly valued but isn't a necessity.
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy and mouthy, so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• As an active breed, I have lots of energy, so I'll need an active family who can keep up with me.
• Training, training, training - it's essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.

Dog Compatibility:
• I can not go to a home with other dogs as i get jealous when my humans give other dogs attention.
• I enjoy friendly male and female dogs, but I can be very enthusiastic when meeting them which puts a lot of dogs off and I will react if they are reactive to me.
So i would be okay to have the occasional play date with a submissive male but am not suitable for dog parks/ off lead beaches ect.

Cat / small animal:
• A home without cats would be best for me, as I'm likely to chase them.

Perks:
• I'm a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I'm excited.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I'm exuberant and full of beans, always ready for fun and adventure.
• I'm clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who'll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.

Training:
• I can Sit on command and would love to learn more tricks.
• Once I'm settled, I can walk nicely, but I may pull if something grabs my attention or if I decide I'd like to head in a different direction. I can also be strong or a bit skittish if startled, so a harness or head halter would really help while I continue my training.
• I can be a little bouncy when excited, but consistent training will help me learn calmer behaviours.
