Soup

At first glance, Soup might not be the kitten that rushes to the front of the enclosure to greet you. While the other confident kittens bounce around and demand attention, Soup quietly sits back and watches the world go by. Because of this, he is often overlooked, but the truth is that Soup is just a normal kitten who simply isn't coping in the busy shelter environment.

Shelters can be loud, busy, and overwhelming places, and some sensitive kittens struggle with all the unfamiliar sights, smells, and noises. Soup is one of those kittens. He isn't aggressive, and he isn't "difficult", he's just a little scared and unsure right now. What Soup really needs is a calm home where he can take a breath, settle in, and realise that the world isn't so scary after all.

One thing that really helps Soup feel safe is other cats and kittens. He is very cat-social and clearly finds comfort in feline friends. Watching him relax when he's around another kitten shows us the sweet, playful little personality hiding underneath the nerves. Because of this, Soup would likely do best in a home with another friendly cat or kitten who can help show him the ropes.

Right now, Soup gets passed over day after day while the more confident kittens steal the spotlight. But behind those worried eyes is a perfectly normal kitten just waiting for someone to believe in him. With patience, kindness, and a quiet place to call home, Soup will blossom into the wonderful companion we know he can be.

Sometimes the kittens who need us the most are the ones who don't know how to ask for help.
