Hi, I'm Benny! 🐾

I started my journey in a bit of a strange way — I was found in a drain, and since then I've been learning all about this big, exciting world around me.

I'm a young, clever and very affectionate boy. I absolutely love my humans and, when I'm at home, I'm a real softie. I love cuddles, pats and strokes and like being close to my people. I enjoy being part of whatever is happening and I'm happiest when I'm getting some attention and affection.

I'm also a clever boy and very food motivated, which makes me great to train. I'm crate trained and I learn new things quickly. I enjoy learning and I'm pretty good at picking up new routines and behaviours.

I love playing and I'm a very energetic boy. I have plenty of puppy energy and enjoy exploring, playing and chewing things — sometimes things I'm not supposed to! Toys and sticks don't tend to last very long around me, and I've even discovered that beds can be fun to chew.

One of the things I'm still learning is how to manage my excitement. Sometimes the world is just way too exciting for me! When I'm out and I see something interesting, such as another dog, a person, bike, scooter or bird, I can become very focused and excited. I may bark, pull on my lead and jump around because I really want to investigate. I'm not trying to be aggressive — I'm usually just extremely excited and curious. Sometimes I get so worked up that my brain seems to switch off and I find it difficult to listen, even when treats are involved. When that happens, I need some help getting away from the excitement so I can calm down.

I'm going to need a little help from my new humans to keep learning my manners and guide me in the right direction so I can continue becoming the best boy I can be. With patience, consistency and continued training, I'm sure I'll keep making progress.
Once I'm settled, I'm back to being my affectionate, happy self.

So, if you're looking for a loving, playful and clever young dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart, maybe I'm your boy. I might still have a few things to learn, but I have so much love to give and I'm ready to find my person. All I really want is someone to share adventures with, help me learn along the way, and give me plenty of cuddles when we get home. ❤️🐾

Benny is $370 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, c5 vaccinated and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
