Benny came into care after being dramatically rescued from a drain. He was pretty timid and scared and first, but has come along leaps and bounds since, and discovered that being part of a pack is actually pretty great. He loves tagging along, happily sleeping at your feet like a polite little shadow, and peacefully going about his day.
As he settles in and comes out of his shell, his personality continues to shine more and more each day. He’s growing in confidence and loves playing with other dogs. He still enjoys his alone time, happily entertaining himself with toys or playing in the garden. Benny is also very sweet and cuddly and loves being close to his people.
He's got the basics like 'sit' and 'stay' down, and walks reasonably well on a lead. Being young he would certainly benefit from continued structured training and boundaries. He's still a bit bouncy so would be best suited to a home with older kids, and if living with another dog would be best suited to one a similar size as he likes to play a bit rough. He's pretty chill and tends to just snooze the day away while his carer is at work. He'd be fine as an only dog provided he gets plenty of attention and daily walks.
If you’re looking for a loyal dog to make a calm and gentle companion, Benny is ready to steal your heart.
Benny is $350 to adopt and comes desexed. microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative) and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
