About Reed
Reed is a gentle guinea pig who is also searching for a loving furever home. Like many guinea pigs, he can be quite nervous at first and may need some extra time to settle in and feel safe in a new environment.
Reed would thrive in a home where he can live predominantly indoors, where he will feel comfortable and protected. He would also enjoy supervised outdoor time during pleasant weather when it is safe for him to explore.
Guinea pigs are very social animals, so Reed would love a home with another guinea pig friend. If you don't currently have one, he would be happy to join a family that plans to adopt a companion for him in the future.
Because Reed is still gaining confidence, he may be unsure about handling at first. With patience, gentle interactions, and time to build trust, he can gradually become more comfortable with his new family.
Reed would also love a home that provides lots of enrichment to keep him busy during the day. Hidey houses, tunnels, safe chew toys, and opportunities to forage for food will help keep him happy and engaged.
Reed is a sweet boy who just needs a patient and caring home to help him feel safe and loved. With the right family, he has the potential to grow into a wonderful companion. 🐹🌿

At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
