About Romeo
Romeo is a sweet senior gentleman looking for a peaceful place to enjoy his golden years. This charming little Maltese x Australian Silky Terrier has plenty of love to give and would thrive in a calm, predictable home where he can truly relax.
Romeo would be happiest in a quiet household with adults or respectful teens who understand that sometimes he just needs his own space. He enjoys the comforts of indoor living but would also love access to a secure yard where he can safely explore, sniff around, and stretch his legs.
While Romeo may be happy as the only dog, he could also share his home with another calm, older small-breed dog-he's especially fond of gentle female companions. 🐾
Romeo hasn't had much formal training in the past, so his new family will need to be patient and willing to help him learn the basics. With kindness, routine, and encouragement, he's sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.
His beautiful coat will also need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. ✂️

Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
