About Darla
Meet Darla – short for “What a darling!”
And once you meet her, you will understand exactly how she got her name.
Darla is currently living in foster care with a loving family who are getting to know her personality and helping her shine. She has a gentle nature and a very sweet way about her that makes people fall for her quickly.
With other dogs, Darla is beautifully submissive and respectful. She reads social cues well and prefers a calm, friendly approach when meeting new canine companions. Because of her easy going nature with other dogs, she could happily share her home with a well matched dog friend.
Darla enjoys being active and will suit a home that can include her in daily walks, playtime and adventures. She is the kind of dog who will thrive when she has things to do and people to spend time with.
She has also been cat tested, which opens up more home options for this lovely girl.
Because Darla is in foster care rather than a shelter, we have been able to learn about her personality and what helps her feel comfortable and confident in a home environment.
If you would like to meet Darla, simply submit an adoption application and we can arrange a meet and greet with her foster family.
Sometimes the best way to understand a dog’s name is to meet them yourself… and with Darla, you will quickly see why everyone says “what a darling.”

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.
2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.
3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.
4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.
NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.
