About Miley
Hi, I’m Miley, a typical pug once you get past my shy and cautious first impression. I like to take my time getting to know new people, but once you get my “a-okay,” you’ll see zoomies, butt wiggles and happy little air chomps.
I’m currently living with two foster brothers, a pug x beagle and a pug. The bigger boy is a calm, steady senior and I bonded with him quickly, we love sunbaking together.
The other is a younger, bouncy pup who took me a bit longer to warm up to. With some guidance and patience, we now enjoy playing chase and swapping toys. I do love stealing them, but I’m learning to share!
There’s also a cat here. We peacefully coexist, and sometimes I share the couch with him.
My past is a little unclear, but I’m a retired breeder who’s moved around more than I should have. Because of that, I can be sensitive to loud noises and fast movements, so I need a calm, patient home with no young children. I really need humans who understand that I’ll come to you in my own time. Once I feel safe, I’m a truly sweet girl who just wants love.
I do enjoy spending time outside and relaxing in the yard, so I’ll need a secure backyard where I can safely explore, sniff, and sun bake .
I’m on a bit of a weight loss journey, as I’m currently overweight and have a larger frame than a standard pug. I’ll need a home committed to helping me stay healthy with the right food and exercise. Even once I reach a healthier weight, I’ll still be a sturdier, bigger-built girl for my breed.
I’m still a bit puppy-like in some ways, curious about everything and needing guidance, so I’m kept safe in my pen when my foster mum heads out. She works from home so it’s not that often, which is perfect for me!
I enjoy couch cuddles, treats (I take them very politely!), ear scratches once I trust you, and toy bones. Most of all, I love being wit h my people and another dog.
I’m happiest with company and don’t love being alone, so I’ll need a home with a friendly male dog of similar size to keep me company. I’m especially fond of pug-like friends, but I may adjust to others with slow introductions as long as they’re okay with “no personal space” pug ways.
I’m doing well with crate training at night and prefer being close to my foster brothers. I’m also toilet trained when given regular opportunities outside. Just watch for zoomies, as they sometimes make me need to go!
I’ve never truly been part of a family before, but I’m learning every day just how wonderful it can be, and I can’t wait to find my forever home.
