About Dusty, the greyhound
If you are interested in Dusty, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/4YdfUixpmWdJ4StT9
Dusty is currently living in a house with a yard, although he doesn’t spend long periods outside. He is happy to head out for toileting and a quick look around before returning indoors to relax near his people. Dusty settles beautifully inside the home and could suit either a house or an apartment lifestyle.
He has not lived with another dog during his time in foster care, but has been around greyhounds during walks and prior to foster care he also had some positive interactions with other breeds and cats.
Dusty is comfortable spending time alone during the day and can be left for up to eight hours.
He has met young children, including toddlers, and was calm and gentle during those interactions.
Dusty walks very nicely on the lead and usually strolls along on a loose lead. He can be a little excited when first leaving the yard, but he quickly settles into a calm and relaxed walk. He can be slightly cautious around cars and busier environments, though he is gradually becoming more comfortable as he gains confidence.
Dusty has a very gentle and affectionate nature. He settles beautifully indoors and enjoys being close to his people, often showing his affection through soft nudges or gentle licks. With his calm presence and sweet personality, Dusty will make a lovely and loyal companion.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
