Abby (On Trial)

Abby went on trial in a new home on 13/8/11. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly max and scottie. . . Abby is a gorgeous 2-3 yo purebred shih tzu rescued from a “puppy farm” where she spent her life in a cage, in a filthy shed, giving birth to puppies for her owner to sell for profit. She was in poor condition when rescued but has been in foster care for 3 months now and is healthy and beautiful. She's receiving lots of tlc and is learning to trust people. She has made tremendous progress and is beginning to blossom into such a little sweetheart. . . Abby gets on well with our two other dogs, plays with toys, is house trained, answers to her name, loves going for walks (though “strolls” is probably a better description as she stops to sniff and investigate everything around her). . . She has a lovely soft non-shedding coat which will require regular grooming if allowed to grow to its full length but is easy care if kept clipped. She is an inside dog. She is a quiet dog and is easily scared by sudden movements or loud noises. She is still very timid with strangers. She would be best suited to a home without children and where there is another dog or someone at home fulltime to keep her company. She will make a loving companion for someone willing to give her the tlc she currently needs.
