About Kelp
Hello. I am Kelp.
You will probably hear me before you see me. I like to talk. A lot. If I want attention, if I want pats, if I think you should notice me immediately, I will let you know with a loud and very determined little voice. That is how I earned my nickname, Yelpy Kelpie.
I am one of seven kittens, which means life here is never quiet. We spend our days chasing balls, climbing the cat tower and launching surprise attacks on each other. I love playing with my brothers and sister and curling up in a warm sleepy pile when the excitement finally wears off.
People are my favourite though. I really enjoy being around them and I am always happy to come over for pats. I am fine with cuddles too, and if you sit still long enough there is a very good chance I will climb onto you and fall asleep. Humans make excellent beds.
I am confident and curious and usually one of the first to check out something new. I have seen a dog once and was perfectly fine about it, though I suspect I would have a few opinions to share if one moved into my house. I think with a slow introduction we could work it out.
Children are no problem for me. I am comfortable with people and quite brave, so I handle new situations well. When strangers visit I am usually nearby, watching and deciding whether they might also be good sources of pats.
My litter habits are excellent and I do not have any worries or bad habits. I am just a cheerful ginger boy with a big personality and a very enthusiastic voice.
I look a lot like my brother Sand, except I am a little smaller and quite a bit louder.
If you are looking for a kitten who will keep you company, chat to you about your day and then curl up on you for a nap, I would be very happy to volunteer for the job. 🐾

Please ensure all corresponding documentation, such as vet work for existing animals & lease agreements are provided with the completed application to avoid any delays
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will pass your contact details onto the carer and they will liaise with you to arrange a meet & handover. Prior to the handover, an adoption contract will be emailed to you along with copies of vet work & our bank details. The signed adoption agreement & payment of the adoption fee is required prior to the animal leaving with you. We offer a two-week trial period, and the full adoption fee, minus an administration fee will be refundable if the adoption is cancelled within those two weeks.
