About Alberta
Hello there, I’m Alberta a 4-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier × Golden Retriever mix, and I’m looking for a family who can help me grow into my best self. I can be a little shy at first, so I need humans who are patient and willing to go slow with me. I haven’t had a lot of life experience yet, so new things can feel big and scary—but I’m a fast learner and I LOVE discovering the world when I feel safe.
I'd thrive in a calm, predictable environment where I can feel safe. A home with a solid fenced yard where I can run, explore, sniff every smell and learn about the world. It would also be a great place to enjoy training sessions and interactive games. I love using my brain, so outdoor time is really important for me. I would love to be part of the family, and it would be perfect if I could have a cozy space indoors to rest after my backyard zooms and puppy antics.
At this stage, she would do best as the only dog in the home, so she can settle in, feel safe, and develop confidence in her new environment before sharing her space. She is still learning about the world and would really benefit from slow, positive exposure to calm, well-socialised older dogs who can help teach her appropriate social cues and build her confidence.
I’m happiest when I have a routine and people who guide me with gentle, positive reinforcement. Children 12 and up are perfect for me—I love gentle, kind humans!
If you’re ready to give me patience, love, and a predictable home, I’ll be your loyal, sweet, goofy companion for life. Let’s grow together!
