Meet Ronald - a nearly 9 year old large mixed breed gentleman with a story written in resilience and a heart made of gold.

His microchip may say American Staffordshire Terrier mix, but Ronald stands tall and proud like a little Mastiff. Whatever his breed blend may be, one thing is certain - this beautiful boy is 100% devoted companion.

When Ronald first came into care, he was far too lean, his ribs telling a story we wish he'd never had to live. But with nourishing meals, gentle hands and plenty of love, he's begun to fill out - both in body and in spirit. Watching him grow stronger each day has been such a joy for our team, and to say the staff adore him would be an understatement. We all share one big wish: that Ronald finds the incredible forever family he deserves for his twilight years.

Ronald is affectionate in the purest way. He leans in for pats, melts into couch cuddles and will never say no to sharing a tasty treat with his favourite people. He simply loves being close - your company is his greatest comfort.

He's also an absolute superstar when it comes to manners. Calm, gentle and eager to please, Ronald already knows sit, drop and shake, and he even has lovely recall. He's proof that good boys don't just happen - they're built on kindness and connection.

Ronald would thrive in a calm family home where life moves at a peaceful pace. He may even enjoy sharing his home with another older, like-minded dog - though he would prefer to skip the wild zoomie sessions and stick to the relaxed lifestyle he so enjoys.
