About Marvin
Meet Marvin, 2026’s most eligible bachelor — a dashing, one‑eyed King Charles Cavalier with the heart of a poet and the swagger of a retired pirate captain. After overcoming unimaginable neglect, this gentle little gentleman has transformed into a snuggly, soulful, million‑dollar dog who wants nothing more than to spend his days curled up beside his favourite human. With his soft nature, charming quirks, and irresistible “love sponge” personality, Marvin is ready to find the family who will treasure him forever.
Marvin’s favourite things in life are wonderfully simple: endless cuddles (the man is a professional snuggler), cruising in the car while supervising like a seasoned sea captain, and taking leisurely strolls to the local café where he greets his adoring fans. He’s a passionate snack enthusiast who believes every crumb is a gift from the universe, and he takes the word “W.A.L.K” so seriously it must only be spoken in code. When he’s not adventuring, you’ll find him snoozing on any soft surface available — beds, couches, laps, or anything remotely comfortable.
Marvin is a social butterfly disguised as a small, fluffy pirate. He may give a little bark when meeting new people, but it’s simply his way of saying, “Ahoy there, friend — scratches, please.” He warms up quickly, loves gentle children, and adores anyone willing to offer pats, cuddles, or snacks. He’s affectionate, polite, and happiest when he’s included in whatever his humans are doing.
Marvin is a clever little gentleman who has mastered all the important life skills. He’s fully toilet trained, confidently uses the doggy door, and tackles stairs with ease. He sits beautifully for treats, walks calmly on the lead at a relaxed, gentlemanly pace, and travels quietly in the car like the well‑mannered bachelor he is.
Marvin gets along wonderfully with other calm, gentle dogs and enjoys having a small companion to share his space with. He’s polite, friendly, and happy to coexist. Cats remain a mysterious species to him, but he is intrigued by possums and will offer a dignified bark or two in their direction. He’s not rough, not reactive, and not demanding — just a sweet boy who likes good company.
Marvin eats heartily and with great enthusiasm. Food is one of his life’s greatest joys — whether he’s watching you cook, sniffing the neighbour’s BBQ, or waiting patiently for a crumb to fall. He sits politely for treats and appreciates any snack‑based opportunities.
When left alone, Marvin settles near the front door like a loyal little sentinel, waiting for his humans to return. He isn’t destructive, doesn’t chew, and doesn’t get into mischief — he simply snoozes, relaxes, and dreams of his next cuddle session. He enjoys sunbathing, lounging, and quiet time, but he truly thrives when he has company.
Marvin tolerates baths like a true gentleman. Regular brushing and grooming are essential to keep his silky coat soft and tangle‑free. He’s had significant medical grooming in the past, so gentle handling and consistent care are important for him.
Marvin sleeps in his own bed in his foster carer’s room… and yes, he snores like a drunken sailor. Loudly. Proudly. Rhythmically.
Marvin enjoys one to two gentle walks a day — nothing strenuous, just a pleasant wander to stretch his legs, sniff the neighbourhood, and charm strangers. He’s a café‑walk connoisseur, not a marathon runner.
Marvin is an absolute dream housemate — fully toilet trained, calm, and wonderfully well‑behaved. He’s happiest lounging on the couch or bed, soaking up affection with his gentle, quiet nature, and he’s perfectly content as long as his humans are nearby. He isn’t destructive, demanding, or hyperactive; he’s simply a sweet, soft, loving boy who brings peace and warmth to any home.
Medical
Marvin has had a full reco since being in care
