Meet Cajun 🌶️

Warning: adopting Cajun may result in excessive laughing, spontaneous adventures and a very enthusiastic sidekick who just wants to explore and hang out.

This ridiculously handsome Catahoula Cross has brains, heart and a good amount of goofball. One minute he’s showing off his tricks and recently learnt obedience, the next he’s pulling a classic “what is gravity?” move in the backyard trying to catch a toy. Life with this amazing doggo guarantees entertainment and a loyal partner in crime.

Cajun enjoys being around his people and getting involved in whatever you throw at him, whether that’s training, playing or tagging along on adventures. He’s recently found out he really enjoys camping and is an excellent camping buddy, happy to explore by day… then crash out and sleep like an angel once the fun is done. And speaking of training, this boy is clever. In a short time he’s already nailed sit, drop and politely waiting for food. He is getting better at recall but has only just started to learn this one and sometimes gets distracted by a fun smell! He walks well on lead. He’s eager to learn and ready for someone to keep showing him the ropes.

Like any teenager, Cajun occasionally tests the rules, we assume this is purely for scientific research, but he responds well to clear, consistent guidance.

He’s great with other dogs and loves a good play, he sometimes doesn't know how to curb his enthusiasm when excited. He would be better suited to homes with older kids who won’t be accidentally bowled over during any spontaneous zoomies, at least until he learns a bit more spatial awareness.

His dream home?
Someone with a bit of space for zoomies, a love of the outdoors, long walks on the beach (he's never been to the beach but he made sure the waves from boats on the river knew he was boss, so he'd ensure ocean waves knew as well), and the time to keep teaching him cool new things. Bonus points if you have a tent and a sense of adventure - he'll bring the vibes.

He can stay home alone, but let’s be honest - he'd much rather be wherever you are, ‘helping’.
