About Rita
Rita is a very loving, people-focused girl who thrives on attention and being part of the family. She greets visitors with happiness and enthusiasm, enjoys cuddles and belly rubs, and has had lovely interactions with children around 8–10 years old, though she can be a little jumpy when excited. She is gentle with food, not food-protective, non-destructive, doesn’t dig, and happily sleeps on her own bed at night, occasionally alert-barking at unfamiliar noises.
Rita is playful with a medium energy level and loves games of fetch and running around with her toys. She can become a little ball-obsessed, so limiting playtime is recommended. She walks well on lead and enjoys a purposeful trot. Rita is very excited to meet other dogs and may bark and squeal with excitement, so slow and managed introductions are required. She also has a strong prey drive and will try to chase cats and birds, so she is best suited as an only dog in a home without cats, birds, or small animals.
She is fully toilet trained, travels well in the car, and can be left alone for periods. When left outside she may bark briefly for attention but settles quickly. Rita is intelligent, eager to please, and responds well to positive training and treats. She would suit a loving home with older children or adults who are looking for a loyal, affectionate companion and are happy to manage her dog excitement while enjoying the company of a truly sweet and devoted girl.
