About Teddy
Teddy
If you believe the best things in life are worth waiting for, then this gentle soul might just be your perfect match.
This sweet kitty is a tender-hearted, very shy boy of 6 years, who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. New spaces and new people can be scary for Teddy but, with time, within that timid exterior you'll find a gentle and affectionate companion.
About Teddy-
Before Teddy feels safe with you, he is the kind of cat that might -
• Tiptoe into the room and quietly curl up nearby, until he's feeling safe.
• Blink slowly at you from across the room to show you he likes your company
Once Teddy feels safe with you, he's the kind of cat that might -
• Purr with his whole body once you build his trust and he gives you the privilege of closeness
• Become the coziest nap partners on quiet afternoons. Sitting near you on the lounge or the end of the bed.
• Give you gentle nudges of affection to remind you that he cares.
Watching him grow braver each day will be truly beautiful and rewarding and when he learns to trust you, it will be magical, because you will have earned that devotion.
Teddy's Ideal Home/Family:
Teddy needs someone with patience and understanding as he learns to trust, a calm home with someone home often, and someone with the ability to give lots of gentle reassurance (a few treats also wouldn't hurt).
Once Teddy learns how to let someone love him, he will thrive on that love.
Possibly another calm, confident cat to show him the ropes.
Teddy previously bonded to a senior female cat but sadly she passed away. He may be comfortable with another gentle, female cat.
Teddy would be best in a home without small children as he's sensitive to fast movements and lots of noise. He may or may not get used to these things once he feels safe and confident.
Teddy would like somewhere with cozy hiding spots, soft blankets, and quiet companionship. He’s not demanding — he simply wants to feel safe and loved.
If you have a kind heart, a calm home, and the patience to let a shy kitty come out of his shell at his own pace, he will reward you with a lifetime of quiet loyalty and soft, steady love.
Sometimes the quietest cats have the loudest hearts.
Teddy must be an inside only cat. He is fully litter trained and ready to find his furever home.
