Meet Metro, the gorgeous 4 month old wolfhound mix ready to find a loving new family. Metro is a delightful blend of energy and affection, eager to explore the world around him and develop lasting bonds with his human companions. He may be a bigger dog once he grows up as is currently 15 kgs. He came into rescue from the pound with his 5 siblings and all the pups have been incredible dogs.

Metro gets along famously with other dogs, though being a young energetic pup may be a tad too much for senior doggies with low energy levels.

His introduction to cats has been brief, but with a careful, gradual approach, he would likely fit in well with feline friends. He's also proven to be great company for older children and adores spending time with his elderly human friends, showcasing his gentle nature. However, Metro’s enthusiasm on the lead may make him a bit too strong for some, so he'd benefit from training to refine his leash manners.

This adventurous pup is a wonderful traveler, whether he’s comfortably seated in the back of the car or riding along in the foster family Hilux. At home, he's fully house-trained and well-behaved, using the dog door with ease. Metro spends his nights in a crate, which keeps him out of mischief and ensures he gets a good night’s rest.

Metro enjoys cozy snoozes as well as daily zoomie sessions. While he hasn't shown much interest in chickens and is curious about horses, a careful introduction to livestock could see him happy and relaxed around other animals.

If he doesn't sound perfect enough yet, he also goes with his foster carer to her office once a week and has met heaps of people and has been a chilled, cool dude! Happily lapping up the attention with lots of pats from everyone and very confident at the same time (and NO accidents inside). So he would also be a great work mate if you wanted a bestie to take to work with you!
