About Tibby
🐾✨ Meet Tibby ✨🐾
Tibby, a loving 7-year-old Cocker Spaniel, has come into care after her breeder downsized, and she’s now looking for a family to adore her.
Beautiful Tibby has come into care as an ex-breeding girl due to her breeder downsizing. Since arriving, rescue has ensured all of her veterinary work has been completed, and she is now ready to begin the next chapter of her life — one filled with love, comfort and belonging. 💛
💛 Her Nature
Tibby is the definition of a people dog. She absolutely adores being around her humans and will happily position herself wherever the family is. If you move rooms, she’ll quietly trot along behind you. If the kids are playing, she’s there. If you’re relaxing, she’s nearby. She doesn’t demand attention — she just loves being included.
Every morning, Tibby makes sure no one sleeps in too long by gently smooching each family member awake. It’s her sweet little ritual, and it’s impossible not to smile.
🏡 Training & Home Life
Tibby is toilet trained, though she may still have the occasional overnight accident as she continues adjusting to home life. She isn’t crate trained and hasn’t been tested with a doggy door.
She currently sleeps either in her foster carer’s bedroom or alongside the kids — often spooning up with them on her bed. She truly thrives on closeness and companionship.
🐶 Social Butterfly
Loves children and has been wonderful with all ages she’s met (though not tested with children under 6). She is gentle and patient.
Gets along beautifully with other dogs of all sizes and breeds.
Having come from a home with many dogs — and now shadowing the resident foster dog — Tibby would likely benefit from another calm canine companion in her forever home.
Not tested with cats.
Ignores budgies in a cage.
🌿 Energy & Adventures
Tibby is fairly quiet but curious and inquisitive. She loves a good sniff and explore — she’s a proper little detective outdoors. While she doesn’t require huge amounts of exercise, she happily manages 40-minute walks and would likely enjoy up to an hour at a relaxed pace. She walks well on lead, though may pull lightly at times.
She will bark at strangers, simply to alert you.
🍗 Personality & Quirks
Tibby LOVES food. Truly loves it.
She is highly food motivated (which is wonderful for training!) but also means she needs a home mindful of leaving food out. Open pantries, accessible bins and unattended plates are simply too tempting. She has a delightful habit of “treasure hunting” through bins and carrying her prized finds back to her bed.
Each mealtime is celebrated with her adorable “food song and dance,” a little routine that shows just how happy she is.
Other charming Tibby-isms:
Trotting happily while sniffing every inch of the outdoors
Smooching everyone awake each morning
Eating flies and spiders if she spots them (bonus pest control included!)
✂️ Grooming & Health
As a Cocker Spaniel, Tibby requires regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and comfortable. Her ears will need monitoring — particularly in warmer months — as long ears can be prone to yeast infections. She also has one eye that may occasionally become “yucky” and will need gentle monitoring and cleaning.
🏠 Her Ideal Home
Tibby is not suited to a home where people are away for very long hours. She doesn’t display anxiety — she simply loves her humans deeply and wants to share life with them. A family environment, possibly with another friendly dog, would suit her beautifully.
This sweet girl has spent her life giving to others. Now it’s her turn to be cherished, included and adored as a true family member. 💕
If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a gentle heart, a love of children, and the most endearing food dance you’ve ever seen — Tibby might just be your perfect match. 🐾
