Meet Whiskey, a sweet and affectionate male Jack Russell Terrier who is ready to find his ultimate teammate.
Our gorgeous little man is a compact but sturdy little fellow, Whiskey is the definition of a "big dog in a small body." While he possesses all the intelligence and spark of his breed, he is, at his core, a professional cuddler. If you are looking for a loyal shadow who will dedicate his life to being by your side, Whiskey is waiting to meet you.
Whiskey’s absolute favourite place in the world is wherever you are. He is a master of the "couch snuggle" and will happily jump up onto the sofa or bed to tuck himself right against you for hours on end. When it’s time for play, Whiskey leans into his terrier heritage with gusto. He is a toy enthusiast often channeling his focus into the mission of deconstructing a toy until the job is done lol
Walks and exploring are another favourite
This little man thrives on human connection. He is affectionate and will seek out pats and snuggles.
Whiskey enjoys meeting new people
Whiskey also takes his job as a companion seriously and isn't afraid to use his "alert bark" to let you know if someone is approaching the home,
Whiskey is a bright spark who picks up new routines with ease. He has already mastered the use of a doggy door, showing off the signature Jack Russell intelligence.
Whiskey has mastered sit, wait and come when called
Whiskey is a social butterfly when it comes to his fellow canines. He gets along famously with other dogs and enjoys their company. He is currently living with two lab girls. He has met a number of dogs on walks. He does have a tendency to want to pull to say hello. Having another dog in the household is highly recommended, as he previously was living with another dog.
He does not like cats and will chase
Whiskey is a polite eater who enjoys routine. He currently eats two meals a day of high quality dry food. He has a healthy appetite and is motivated by food, which helps with training. Outside the home he can get a little distracted
Whiskey prefers to be an inside dog so a home with a doggy door is best where he can be inside if you are not home. He may bark for a short period. Providing treat toys is a great way to keep him entertained if out
He is fully house-trained and utilizes his doggy door perfectly to take himself out when needed.
At night, he is at his most content when he can sleep close to his human’s
In the car, Whiskey is an eager traveler
Being a Jack Russell these guys need their exercise and to use their nose so he is a lover of adventures
Whiskey has plenty of "get up and go." He thrives on a solid one-hour walk daily to burn off his terrier energy.
On the lead, he is a gentleman and shows no issues with pulling, unless he sees another furry mate.
He has been exposed to bikes, trains and cars in his walks with no issues

Home in a Perfect Home
Whiskey’s dream home is one filled with love, activity, and plenty of lap time.
A backyard that is big enough for some exploring for his jrt traits of sniffing out stuff
No apartment living will be considered
Access to inside the home via a doggy door
He would be happiest with a family who has plenty of time to take him on daily adventures and walks
Definitely NO cats please
Kids are fine but must be mature dog savvy 5+
A home committed to ongoing training
A secure yard with secure fencing.
We feel Whiskey would be better suited to a home with another dog as he has always had a friend and might get lonely when alone
