About Freddy
Hello there! I’m Freddy, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR FREDDY
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/aJgpCNkgvFSujsYs9
My Ideal Home:
• I’ll need daily exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction
• Most importantly, I’m looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I’d love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy, so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
• Training, training, training — it’s essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.
• I’m still a puppy, which means I will chew, nip, have accidents, bark, and sometimes be a little destructive. With patience, consistency, and training, I’ll learn — but I need a family fully committed to putting in the time and effort to help me succeed.
• As a young puppy, I’m ready to learn and adapt — how I grow and mature will reflect the love, structure, and guidance you provide
• I’d love a friendly dog playmate — or, if I’m your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• A home without cats would be best for me, as I’m likely to chase them.
• I can be a scaredy cat when startled and can start barking because of this. I will need a family ready and willing to socialise me and show me have to be a brave, confident, well-behaved man.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I’m a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I’m excited.
• I’m highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I’m quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I’m exuberant and full of beans, always ready for fun and adventure.
Training:
• I haven’t had any formal training yet, so I’ll need help with ALL my basic manners and life skills. The good news is I love food, which will make positive training lots of fun and rewarding for me.
• Once I’m settled, I can walk nicely, but I may go suddenly in a different direction or tangle you up if something grabs my attention. Training, harness/halti is recommended.
• I eat my food quite quickly and may forget how to take treats gently from your hand as I can be very excited about food. Training and a slow feeder is recommended.
Please note that adoption applications can only be approved if you’re able to visit the shelter to meet Freddy in person.
If you have any existing dogs at home, they will also need to come to the shelter to meet Freddy prior to adoption approval, to ensure everyone is a good match.
