About Betty
Affectionate and Gentle
Open to meeting kids 8+
Dog Selective (would benefit further socialisation with dogs)
Has basic training
Betty is a cuddly girl who truly believes your lap is the best place to be. All she wants is to soak up the love and be close to her person.
She can be a little shy when you first meet her — she just likes to take her time and work things out. But once she feels comfortable, she’ll show you her full personality. When it’s playtime, she’s all in and will happily let you know she’s ready.
Betty would be best suited to meet kids aged 8 years and up. Because she can be timid, she needs a best friend who understands that she has boundaries and sometimes enjoys her own quiet time. Give her that respect, and she’ll give you her whole heart.
She is dog selective, though she can be a little full-on and is still learning how to manage her excitement. We’d love for you to bring your dog in to see how they get along — who knows, you might be sharing blanket space sooner than you think.
Betty would suit a quieter home where she can enjoy her downtime, whether that’s lounging in the sun or curled up on the bed.
If you’ve got a lap, a blanket, and room in your heart for a sweet girl who just needs a moment to shine — Betty is ready.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
