Meet Luna Lou, our little pocket rocket with a heart of gold. This bright, beautiful girl has the sweetest nature and truly bonds with her people.
Luna Lou came into care feeling scared and unsure, but every day she’s growing braver and discovering that the world is a safe, happy place. She’s learning to relax, enjoy new experiences and is becoming more confident on the lead with gentle guidance.
Super smart and eager to please, Luna Lou is picking up new skills quickly. With ongoing support, she’ll continue to blossom into the incredible companion she’s destined to be.
Luna Lou loves the beach, chasing seagulls and playing tug with you. She has a fun, playful spirit but is equally attentive and deeply loyal to her people. Once she bonds with you, she’ll be your constant companion and devoted best friend.
Luna Lou can be nervous with new people and unfamiliar situations, so she needs a home that will take things at her pace. She’s looking for confident, calm humans who will step up and advocate for her space, helping her feel safe rather than overwhelmed. With the right guidance and consistency, her confidence continues to grow beautifully.
Her ideal home will understand her working-dog energy, offer plenty of enrichment, and provide a structured, patient environment where she can keep building her confidence.

Luna Lou’s yard needs to be completely fenced, ready for a dog with permanent fixtures in place. The yard must be cleared of rubbish and choke hazards, with no gaps in the fences or gates.
Luna Lou is in foster care in Bexley, NSW. She is not available for adoption interstate. Her adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
