About Absinthe
Meet Absinthe, our one eyed kitty! She is a lovely girl who is looking for a calm, understanding home. She enjoys quiet companionship and gentle interaction, and she will do best with cat-savvy adopters who are confident reading cat body language and respecting her boundaries. Absinthe is quite timid around new people or situations, but warms up quickly, soon leaning in for gentle pats and offering soft and sweet meows.
A peaceful home with adults, teens, or gentle older children, a consistent routine, and plenty of enrichment will help her feel secure. With gradual introductions, interactive play, and thoughtful care, Absinthe will build a strong bond with his new family and become a rewarding companion.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
