About Pixie
🐾 Meet Our Beautiful Wolfhound Pup 🐾
Pixie - 📅 Born: 26 August 2025
This sweet Wolfhound mix girl hasn't been in care long, but she’s already winning hearts with her gentle, affectionate nature. Pixie may be a little shy at first, but she quickly warms up and shows her playful, cheeky puppy side.
Her exact mix isn’t known, but physically she’s very much a Wolfie—leggy and elegant with a rough, scruffy coat, that lovely long face with a hint of beard, and the kind of soft, soulful expression that melts hearts. Her beautiful red coat is a particularly lovely expression of the breed.
Pixie is very people-focused and loves being part of the action. She’s energetic and exuberant, with a joyful approach to life. She’s learning to walk nicely on lead (be sure to check out her video!). She’s also very dog-friendly and enjoys the company of her canine mates in her busy foster home.
She’s started her basic training and growing in confidence each day. Like many pups, she’s still learning the ropes, but she's clever and eager to please, qualities that make her a very good student.

🐺 About Wolfhounds
Irish Wolfhounds are known as the gentle giants of the dog world—calm, loyal and deeply devoted to their people. While Pixie may not grow as large as a purebred Wolfhound, she will still be a big, strong girl, so she’ll need a home prepared for a large breed dog.
Wolfhound types are typically:
✔ Gentle and affectionate companions
✔ Loyal and people-oriented
✔ Best suited to homes with space and secure fencing
✔ Thriving on inclusion in daily family life
🏡 Her Ideal Home
Pixie would love a home where she’s included as part of the family—ideally with older children as she's too big and exuberant for the very young. She’ll benefit from continued training, regular exercise and plenty of love as she grows into the beautiful dog we know she will become. She will need secure fencing to keep her safe.
