This handsome Mastiff x American Bulldog mix is the very definition of Best Boi. When he first arrived, he was completely petrified of people, the kind of scared that sits deep in the bones. But give this boy a little patience and a steady routine and he unfolds like a shy flower at sunrise. Trust came quickly, and now he’s a soft, happy soul who comes over for pats and leans into belly, chest, and ear scratches with quiet gratitude.

Hashtag is wonderfully placid and calm. He is conflict avoidant to his core. If something worries him, he backs away rather than engaging. No bluster, no bravado, just a gentle “no thank you.” That sweet nature makes him a beautiful companion for the right home.

He absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive with a friendly canine buddy to show him the ropes. That said, he could also be happy as an only dog if his humans are committed to providing enrichment, walks, and mental stimulation. He bonds deeply and blossoms with consistency.

In the home, he is fully non destructive… with one small caveat. Hashtag considers unattended food a community resource. He will check the sink for unwashed dishes and has been known to conduct a thorough investigation of any accessible milk cartons. Secure your snacks and he’s a perfect gentleman. He adores food and treats, which will make ongoing training both fun and effective.

He walks okay on lead but will benefit from continued training to build his confidence and polish his skills. With his food motivation and eagerness to please, he’s very workable.

Because of his past and lingering fears, Hashtag is not suited to a home with children. He is also too excited by cats and pocket pets, so a no small animals household is best.

He does carry some physical scars that hint at a rough start to life. What he carries emotionally, though, is resilience. Underneath it all is the sweetest, softest boy who just wants to feel safe and loved.

Hashtag isn’t looking for chaos or crowds. He’s looking for a calm home, kind hands, and someone who sees the quiet bravery in a once frightened dog learning to trust again. 🖤
