About Casey
CASEY – A Gentle Boy with a Big Future 🐾
Born 5 January 2026
Casey is already showing the hallmarks of his Irish Wolfhound heritage — sweet-natured, affectionate, gentle and quietly confident.
The Irish Wolfhound is one of the world’s most ancient breeds, with origins tracing back thousands of years to Ireland, where they were revered as noble companions and hunters of wolves and elk. Despite their imposing size, Wolfhounds are renowned for their calm, dignified temperament and deep devotion to their people. They are true gentle giants — affectionate, steady and generally patient with children.
We don’t know what other genes Casey carries, but if his Wolfhound side is anything to go by, he is going to grow into a very special dog indeed. At present, he weighs about half what a purebred Wolfhound puppy of the same age would typically weigh, so we do not expect him to reach the towering height of a purebred adult. That said, he will still grow into a large, strong dog and will need a home prepared for a big companion.
Casey behaved beautifully at the vet today, impressing Dr Jane with his cooperative, calm and trusting nature. He took everything in his stride — a confident little fellow with a soft heart.
He has had two puppy vaccinations and is at the ideal age to go to his forever home.
💛 About Casey:
• Sweet, affectionate and people-focused
• Gentle but confident
• Calm and cooperative
• Expected to grow into a large, strong dog
His ideal home will:
✔ Have someone around most of the time
✔ Have secure, good fencing
✔ Perhaps include another dog
✔ Preferably have large-breed or Wolfhound experience
Casey is available now, subject to a Deferred Desexing Contract requiring that he not be bred from and that he be desexed when age appropriate. The cost of desexing is included in his adoption fee, subject to terms and conditions.
This little boy is one for the large dog lovers — those who understand that even when they’re not quite “giant,” they still come with a giant heart.
