About Icy Pole
*In foster care in Waverley, Sydney*
Cool, calm and collected, Icy Pole may seem like a lone wolf - exploring and hanging out on his own for much of the day - but watch him transform as soon as you scoop him up! He switches from Mr Independent to Lover Boy in a heartbeat, a purring bundle of soft fur and gentle headbutts in your arms :)
This special gentleman also fancies himself as a bit of a mountain climber... even though his climbing skills aren't quite as developed as he thinks they are! You'll often be sitting there minding your own business and see a little silver head pop up over the edge of the counter or the arm of the couch, as he tries desperately to pull the rest of his body up before inevitably falling short and disappearing from view just as quickly as he appeared... but that never deters him for long, and he always gets there in the end. May that be a lesson for all of us!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Icy Pole is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'll do best with calm adults, or maybe a family with older kids (10+). All good if you work from home, or don't - I'm perfectly content in my own company or with my special people.
Though I like to play hard to get and hide my softer side, it's very much there, and once our bond is established you'll have the coolest, cuddliest little dude you've ever met. I might even deafen you with my loud purring!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I sit somewhere in the middle - neither bouncing off the walls, nor watching life from the side lines. During the day I'm pretty chill (pardon the pun), spending most of my time snoozing in a cosy hidey hole - but my kitten instincts come out to play in the evenings! That's when I like to zoom from one end of the house to the other like an Olympic sprinter, attack my toys and wrestle with my sisters.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm a fairly sensitive soul, so I'd probably not enjoy living with young children. Kids aged 10 and up who are willing to get to know me at my pace should be OK.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: There's four resident dogs of varying sizes and three resident cats in my foster home, and I get along with everyone - the dogs especially! They don't even mind when I headbutt them :)

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
