Santos is a sweet, shy young girl who is looking for a calm and patient home where she can settle at her own pace. She has likely missed out on some early socialisation, which means new people, places and experiences can feel overwhelming for her. Once she feels safe, she bonds quickly to her handler and enjoys gentle affection, often placing her paws in your lap and leaning in for reassurance. Santos should be included in the home as part of the family and introduced to new people slowly by rolling treats toward her to help build positive associations. She is still learning to walk on lead, so her new owner will need to continue training in a quiet area like the backyard before venturing out. Santos would do best in a quieter household with calmer children, as she startles easily. She may be suitable to live with a calm, older dog, though any dog must meet her first as she can be unsure when approaching new canine friends.
