About Pudding
Meet Pudding
Pudding is not a soft, snuggly lap cat - and she’s not pretending to be.
She came into care with her four kittens, absolutely terrified but fiercely protective. Every hiss, every swat, every wide-eyed stare came from a place of fear and survival. She has done an incredible job raising her babies, but humans are still something she approaches with deep caution.
Pudding does not enjoy being patted. If she feels cornered or forced into contact, she can react defensively. That isn’t “bad behaviour” - it’s a scared girl setting boundaries the only way she knows how. She needs people who respect those boundaries completely.
She is looking for a very specific home:
• No expectation of cuddles
• No forced affection
• No confinement
• Plenty of space
A barn, shed, warehouse, large property or semi-rural setting would likely suit her best. She does not like being shut in small spaces and becomes stressed when confined. Given room and consistency, she settles and observes from a safe distance. She is independent and alert, and would do well in an environment where she can have purpose and autonomy.
At Elite Cat Rescue, we don’t give up on our mama cats. Pudding deserves a safe place to land - not one that tries to change her, but one that understands her.
She may never be a lap cat. She may never ask for pats. But with the right environment and patient humans, she can live a secure, peaceful life.
If you have the space, the experience and the respect for a strong, independent girl, Pudding could be the right match for you.
