Hollie's story is a sad one… She was dumped at the pound after being a farm cat for many years, with a litter of kittens. She was a matted mess, burdened with fleas, and required a full body shave down so she could start regrowing her beautiful, long, soft coat from scratch. She had ear infections and sores from scratching so much.

After several months in care, she has now been given the all clear to find her retirement home. The vets have guessed she could be 10–12 years old but believe she could, in fact, be older. One wonders how many litters of kittens this poor senior lady has had.

Hollie has adjusted nicely to indoor living with good quality food that has helped her heal. She is a beautiful, quiet girl who often spends time tucked away in the laundry cupboard to avoid the other cats in the household - coming out for pats when she hears us in the kitchen or, of course, when it is dinner time!

She can be picked up but prefers to keep her paws on the ground. She loves a pat, and her carer believes that in an only-cat retirement home she would likely seek out a cosy spot on the couch with her humans.

Hollie's ideal home would be adult only - visiting children are fine as long as she has a quiet space to retreat to. She loves the quiet life 😻
