About Indy
*In foster care in Stanmore, Sydney*
Indy is a sweet, chatty kitten who adores a good belly rub! Super-curious about new people, she's also very affectionate - following up most play sessions with cosy couch sessions right next to you, or on your lap :)
Indy also loves sitting underneath tall plants (she's never shown interest in eating them) or on a sunny windowsill, following her foster carers around the house to see what they’re up to, and stretching out on the rug waiting to be scratched. The more we think about it, she's almost too good to be true - she watches you eat without trying to steal your food (so polite!), has no fear or vacuums, and brings a lovely peaceful vibe to her surroundings!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Indy is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm pretty close to purrfect, which means I don't need anything special to live my best life! I'm playful yet calm, sociable yet independent. One thing I'm not really keen on is being picked up, so I'd probably be happiest in a home with a single person or couple, or a family with older kids (8+) who 'll respect my boundaries and need for down time.
My favourite spot in my foster home is on top of a cardboard box underneath a plant - I love to watch over the living room from my little safe space there - so a similar kind of setup in my new digs would be nice!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Not too high, not too low. I do get the occasional evening zoomy and love to chase toys around when they're presented to me, but otherwise I'm pretty chill (I even enjoy jazz music!) and happy to lounge around, soaking up the serenity.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though I'm sweet and loving as a rule, I can get a bit overstimulated by too much patting and attention, so kids aged 8+ who can read my 'leave me alone now' cues would be best.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Not sure. If you've got another nice pet who you think I might like (and vice versa), we can always give it a try?

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
