About Shadow
SHADOW arrived to Ark very frightened of her new surroundings. It has taken her time to come out of her shell, but she is now showing us how beautiful she can be.
While a little nervous, you can see Shadow likes to show off her cuteness to encourage pats. She loves affection when she’s brave enough to receive and time will only improve this confidence.
She currently lives with cats, toddlers and a large dog. This is a little too much for Shadow, however she would be fine with small number of cats and would slowly learn to like young children with good cat manners. Shadow doesn’t love cat company but will tolerate them. Like most Russian Blues she prefers the company of her people the most.
Shadow is a Russian Blue without papers. She is very vocal often telling her favourite person what she wants, a typical trait of Russian Blue cats. She has a beautiful thick slate coloured coat which she takes care of herself. Russian Blue cats are known for having an impeccable memory often remembering who their favourite people are.
Shadow does need a home that is calm. She needs someone who will understand that time will allow her to come out of her shell. As well as a person who can pat her daily particularly in the beginning of her adoption is important to allow her to build confidence. Shadow is eager to love, she just needs someone to love her back. Will that be you?

Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
