Winston is an incredibly affectionate boy who thrives on human connection. This curious explorer is always keen to check out the world around him. Walks are his favorite time of day — he loves to sniff, investigate, and take in all the exciting sights and smells. He can get a little enthusiastic on the lead (especially if he spots something interesting), but he responds well to regular training and enjoys the structure of daily walks and guidance.

Winston is a social guy who gets very excited when he sees other dogs. He may pull, bark, or even howl to say hello — it’s all part of his big, expressive personality! With continued training and positive management, he’s learning to channel that excitement. He could happily live with another dog or adapt well as a single dog soaking up all the attention.

At home, Winston would do best with older children who understand dog boundaries. He does best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he loves companionship and can get bored if left alone for long stretches. When bored, he may dig or bark — so enrichment, exercise, and inclusion in family life are key to keeping him happy and settled.

There has been some minor resource guarding in the past, but with thoughtful management, it has been the exception rather than the rule.
