About Baron
🖤 Meet Baron – An Older Gentleman with a Permanent Smile
Baron came into ARK’s care many years ago with a broken leg that had never been treated. It was beyond repair. On the advice of our wonderful vet, his damaged and useless leg was removed — and truly, he has been so much better without it.
Through it all, Baron always had — and still has — a smile on his face.
For many years, Baron has been part of ARK’s Forever Program, where special dogs remain in our care long-term. He has been safe and well looked after. But as he’s grown older, we’ve rethought what would truly make him happiest — and we believe Baron would love a home of his very own.
This handsome Rottweiler x Shar Pei gentleman is a very friendly old fellow who absolutely adores humans. He lights up when he sees you and is always pleased for company. People are his favourite thing in the world.
Baron isn’t dog-friendly and he’s not suited to homes with cats. He’s also too big and solid for young children. What he needs is a calm, adult home where he can be the one and only pet — just as he deserves.
He’s not interested in leash walking these days. Baron would be perfectly content with a secure backyard where he can lie in the sun, watch the world go by and potter about at his own pace. That said, indoor privileges would make him very happy — he loves being near his people.
We would dearly love to see Baron spend his remaining years in a loving home where he can simply be himself: comfortable, cherished and safe.
If you have a quiet home, a sunny yard and room in your heart for a three-legged gentleman with a permanent smile, Baron is waiting just for you. 🐾
