Charlee is the sweetest little JR cross with a heart that truly belongs to her humans. She loves being wherever you are — your loyal little shadow who just wants to share life by your side. While she adores company, she can also manage being left alone for short periods.

She’s only just discovering how fun toys can be and is still exploring what play is all about. The world can feel a little big and unfamiliar at times, but don’t let her size fool you — Charlee is brave and leaning into new challenges with the reassurance of her safe people.

Charlee would ideally thrive as the only dog in the home, as she loves having her humans to herself. However, with a calm, soft-natured male dog and slow, thoughtful introductions, she could potentially adjust and form a lovely bond. She can resource guard her food at times, so separate feeding is recommended.

She’s a clever girl who has already mastered the doggy door, sleeps beautifully through the night, and enjoys her meals (though she’s not overly impressed by vegetables!).

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
