About Bosun
Bosun
Bosun is a solid unit of muscle with the heart of a total marshmallow. Big, strong and handsome on the outside — soft, sensitive and deeply affectionate on the inside.
He adores other dogs, especially bigger ones, and absolutely loves to play and wrestle. Because he gets excited and doesn’t quite realise his own size, he’s best suited to a home with medium to large dogs, where nobody’s likely to get accidentally swept away. Calm, respectful introductions are important and, once he settles, he’s a joyful and friendly companion.
That said, Bosun would also be perfectly happy as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention as the centre of someone’s world.
Bosun can be quite timid when he first meets new people but give him a little time and consistency and you’ll be rewarded tenfold. Once he trusts you, his loyalty is unwavering and his love knows no limits. He’s sweet, eager to please, and genuinely wants to do the right thing — he just needs someone willing to guide him.
He is:
Toilet trained
Learning his basic commands
Excellent overnight — sleeps perfectly in his own bed
Very people-oriented and needs to be part of the family
Due to his size and enthusiasm, Bosun is not suited to a home with young children, as he can be a bit full-on without meaning to be. He’d be absolutely fine with older, dog-savvy kids who can respect his space and enjoy having a big, affectionate companion.
Bosun’s future humans will need to be committed to continuing his training, but the good news is… he wants to be the best boy he can be and tries his darndest to make you proud when learning new things. He’s not much of a guard dog, but if you’re after the ultimate smoocher, cuddle buddy and loyal shadow — he’s your guy.
Bosun is a boy who has had to be brave for too long. Now he’s ready for a home where he can finally feel safe, secure, and loved forever — exactly what he deserves.
Adoption status: Bosun is just awaiting his final all-clear from the vet, expected next week, before he can officially head to his forever fam bam. That said, he’d love to hear from potential new families and is taking enquiries now.

To ensure a reply to enquiries about adoption please tell us a little about yourself and your location. Interstate adoption is available with transportation at adopter's expense. If you are renting your home, please ensure you have approval for a pet before submitting your application.
• Due to being a rescue, Knowledge of breed and size is not always known.
• If a dog listed has any medical issues, we will list them in their BIO.
• ALL dogs/pups will come with all proof of vet work

Meet the animal and chat to the foster carer to make sure this animal is the right one for you, your home, family and circumstances.
We recommend you have a chat as a family and a think, make sure everyone is on board and happy with the choice to add the animal to your family.
Contact the team to advise your decision either way....if this one isn't the right fit we will work with you to try and find the best match.
If this is the one, we can start the adoption process. Complete the application to adopt and promptly return the application. A home/yard check may be required by one of our team members, if this is not possible photos showing fenced and undercover areas will be required. Once application is approved, you will be invoiced. Pay the adoption fees via electronic transfer, send proof of payment to admin.
We will advise the you and foster carer the animal is clear to leave and you can arrange collection of your newest family member.
*We do have a "cooling off" period please see these terms on adoption application form.
Please note; We do offer interstate adoptions where suitable for the animal in care. All transport costs are at the adopters expense. However we will, where possible, assist with airport transfers. In liu of a meet and greet interstate adopters must have a phone interview/conversation with the foster carer. Yard/Home photos will be required with all interstate applications.
