About Choppy
Meet Choppy, an absolute joy of a guinea pig and one of the most entertaining little characters you'll ever meet! Choppy is a super fun, outgoing boy who loves interacting with people and exploring his environment with confidence and enthusiasm.
This delightful cavy greeted staff with excited squeaks and wheeks, eager for attention and ready to say hello. Choppy has no hesitation walking around on the floor, climbing over or under a person, and making himself right at home. At one point, he even noticed his pen door was open (while staff were present) and decided to take himself on a cheerful little adventure - trotting up and down the hallway and even stopping to check out the kitchen!
Choppy is able to be handled and enjoys human interaction. He truly is a very friendly, people‑oriented guinea pig who thrives on company and curiosity.
Because Choppy previously fought with another male guinea pig in care (the pig he arrived with), he is preferably rehomed as a single pig. Both boys wanted to be the dominant male, and neither was willing to back down, leading to a scuffle. To avoid stress or injury, Choppy is best kept on his own.
However, he may be suitable in a home with another male guinea pig as long as he is housed separately. Many guinea pigs enjoy having neighbours even when they cannot live together directly.
Choppy would be a fantastic match for someone wanting a cheerful, interactive companion who brings fun energy and personality to the home. If you're looking for a confident, charming, and truly lovable little guy - Choppy is your pig!
If you think this cavy might be the perfect fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application today! Please ensure you attach photos of the cage where I would be living to your application.
